Why choose Abraxio?
- Céline Naudin (Head of Regulatory Reporting and Management Control) :
In terms of management control, we were looking for a tool capable of structuring, monitoring and securing our entire budgeting process, which until then had been managed entirely in Excel. This was a real pain point: each EPS department was building its Budgets independently, and management control had to consolidate everything from heterogeneous databases. The objective was therefore clear: centralize data, make exchanges more reliable, and harmonize working methods to gain in efficiency. It was against this backdrop that we launched an RFP – Request for Proposal – in 2020.
- Benoît Gouel (CIO):
I had discovered Abraxio in a previous experience, to support IT department steering. So I was already convinced of the relevance of the solution, but I also saw its potential to go much further, by helping to structure management across an entire organization.
When Controlling launched its RFP – Request for Proposal – to monitor and steer the Budgets for the whole company, I suggested that we study Abraxio together. In addition to the budget, it was an opportunity to facilitate global activity tracking within each department (by connecting budget, Projects, suppliers, etc. in a single tool) and to reinforce cross-functionality between us by sharing the tool and associated best practices. As a result, other departments such as HR and General Resources have also adopted Abraxio.
What are the main benefits today?
- Céline Naudin :
Abraxio has made our entire budgeting process more reliable: we’ve gone from an aggregate of fragmented Excel files to a centralized platform, with shared repositories. This is a great help to us, and it would be simply unthinkable to go back.
All stakeholders – HR, general resources, DOSI, general management – now work within the same framework, with the same approach. As a result, time has been saved, and continues to be saved, because information is immediately accessible. Everything is clear, structured and mapped out.
We’ve also gained in precision and depth of analysis, with the possibility of infra-annual tracking that we’ d never been able to implement before.
- Anthony Dupuis (Management Controller) :
Abraxio has become the foundation of our accounting management. The fact of having a single tool for tracking both committed and invoiced items is very comfortable. In my previous experience, manual reconciliations between investments and accounting were inevitable. Here, everything is centralized.
It’s also a real plus for the other departments we support. For example, the general resources department makes extensive use of Abraxio. The tool enables them to manage their budgets very rigorously – consumption, orders, quotes, invoices – everything is pooled. They even manage all supplier Tracking, with integrated documentation and contracts.
- Benoît Gouel:
What I particularly appreciate, and what led me to adopt and then recommend the solution, is thatAbraxio isn’t just about Budgets. The tool allows me to steer all aspects of my business. and in particular the entire Projects portfolio (whether it’s a question of monitoring progress, detecting deviations), or managing supplier relations.
To give two examples, Abraxio helps me both to steer my annual Budgets – to prepare for the next financial year, all I have to do is copy and paste and adjust – and to produce clear, consolidated Projects reports that can be shared rapidly with senior management. Given the challenges we face, this is essential. Especially as I can just as easily have a macro, “high-level” view of the entire company’s Project portfolio, as manage each and every project in detail, including those carried out by external project managers.
How do you use Abraxio on a daily basis?
- Céline Naudin:
Very simply, all EPS Budgets are built and steered in Abraxio. Throughout the year, we meet regularly with each department to monitor execution. It’s fluid, because everything is in the same environment.
- Anthony Dupuis:
Since 2020, we use Abraxio on a daily basis. It’s a great tool that enables us to do a lot of things. In budget control, for example, the fact that all data is centralized makes iteasy to identify slippages and alert the relevant departments. The tool is both powerful and easy to use.
- Benoît Gouel:
Abraxio has clearly supported the CIO’s transformation and increase in workload.
When it comes to budgeting, tracking commitments, landings and variances is much more precise than with Excel. Management Control also has better visibility of my Budgets. For me, the return on investment in terms of functionality and operation is undeniable. All the more so as I’m gradually delegating budget management to my managers. It’s not a simple matter, but Abraxio makes things a lot easier and supports this Upskilling process. The tool is intuitive and helps frame processes – for example, for naming orders and invoices, with seamless integration with our Yooz solution.
On the Projects side, my Budgets have more than doubled in 5 years. Without a dedicated management tool, this would have been unmanageable. The platform gives me a quick overview of the portfolio. I find it perfectly suited to structures such as SMEs and ETIs: the Projects modules are well thought-out and efficient, and contain the essentials – risk tracking, schedules, Budgets, flash reports. This simplicity is interesting, because it means that everyone can work on the same platform. As I’m responsible for the company’s entire Projects portfolio, if it were complex, they’d have let me know!
I’ve been able to set up a number of Abraxio-based steering and reporting rituals, using the flash reports automatically generated by the solution: monthly steering committees, reports for general management, and the quarterly ‘plan’ committee, which reviews portfolio progress and anticipates future projects.
Finally, as far as suppliers are concerned, Abraxio gives me excellent visibility. The integrated EDM enables us to meet our regulatory obligations, and supports the strengthening of our internal processes – because of course, the tool isn’t everything.
What do you particularly like about the solution?
- Céline Naudin:
The fact that everything is centralized saves us an enormous amount of time. We’ve forgotten what it was like before, but nobody would want to go back to Excel. If only because everyone can work in the same space, at the same time. Since all our environments have been merged into one, it’s even easier for us.
After 5 years of use, I can say that the feedback is very positive. We found the tool reliable, user-friendly and easy to learn. We hadn’t made any mistakes.
- Anthony Dupuis:
It’s a very well thought-out solution for management control: easy to learn, with very few bugs, and Teams that are always responsive and available when needed.
I’d also like to emphasize the lightness of the tool: it’s fast, fluid, with no slowdowns. Queries are displayed immediately. You don’t have to wait days or hours for an extraction; everything is immediate, which adds to the simplicity.
- Benoît Gouel:
I agree. Abraxio’s ease of use, across all platform dimensions, is remarkable. More broadly, Abraxio is a solution that evolves with us. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Teams for several years now, and I’ve always found them to be genuinely attentive, highly responsive, and above all willing to continually improve on the basis of user feedback. I really appreciate that.
In three words, how would you describe Abraxio?
- Céline Naudin and Anthony Dupuis:
Complete, user-friendly, fast.
- Benoît Gouel:
Agility, simplicity and completeness.
