+470% growth and a positive net result for the 3rd year running: after closing its 3rd financial year, start-up Abraxio looks to the future with great ambition.
- Well-established market track record and exceeded targets for the leading platform for CIOs
- A community of IT decision-makers won over and federated around a platform that brings them value
- Headcount doubled in less than 3 months to sustain growth momentum
- Ambitious Plans to Win Over All French CIOs
Lyon, May 10, 2022 – Abraxio, the go-to platform for CIOs to manage their operations, has closed—for thethird consecutive year—its 2021–2022 fiscal year with a net profit and revenue growth of 470%. This performance is all the more remarkable given that this startup, which began from scratch in April 2019, remains entirely self-funded at this stage.
Well-established market track record and exceeded targets for the leading platform for CIOs
Three years after its founding and less than two years after it began marketing its comprehensive IT Manager solution, Abraxio has confirmed the effectiveness of its solution and the strength of its business model, and has exceeded its initial growth targets.
All the KPIs are in the green: in just one year, the number of customers has increased by a factor of 3, while the number of users has soared by a factor of 4. Sales growth exceeded expectations at +470%.
Abraxio—which has focused over the past three years on dynamic and pragmatic growth to explore its market—has thus amply demonstrated the viability of its concept and the interest that CIOs have in its solution.
Its launch at the same time as the very1st containment did not hinder the commercial development of the platform, which is winning over IT departments more than ever at the heart of Digital transformation, keen to improve their management and position by demonstrating their value.
Abraxio’s growth is evenly distributed across all types of IT departments, whether they have 5 or 200 employees. It also spans all sectors—private (manufacturing, banking and insurance, agri-food, etc.), public (local governments, schools and universities, chambers of commerce, etc.)—as well as the nonprofit sector, demonstrating the shared interest in and cross-cutting benefits of Abraxio regardless of the IT department’s status or size.
Other very encouraging signs allow us to look to the future with confidence, particularly customer loyalty and their strong recommendations of the solution to their fellow CIOs, which is having a positive impact on the company’s growth.
“Our CIOs and IT managers often tell us on their own that there’s ‘a before and after Abraxio,’ and that’s undoubtedly one of the reasons for these strong results,” says Samuel Revenu, CEO of Abraxio. Our solution stands out for its deep industry expertise and impresses with its comprehensiveness and its ability to address the real challenges IT departments face in steering their operations. Because it is very user-friendly, it is quickly adopted, and the initial benefits are felt right away—which naturally leads to word-of-mouth recommendations. .
A community of IT decision-makers won over and federated around a platform that brings them value
This community-focused aspect is precisely one of the platform’s key differentiators. From the very beginning, the founders have prioritized a collaborative approach with CIOs and their Teams and regularly engage with the solution’s users.
This community-based approach goes beyond the strict framework of the software platform and IT department steering. Abraxio is committed to sharing value-added content with them that contributes to the effectiveness and visibility of their department, notably by providing them with studies and methodological resources on IT department marketing or IT department steering, for example.
Headcount doubled in the last 3 months to support growth momentum
In less than three months, Abraxio—whose entire team is based in Lyon at the heart of HUB612, an accelerator for innovative tech startups— has doubled its headcount and brought on new talent to join the original management team, which consists of experienced professionals who themselves come from IT departments.
Recruitment efforts have initially focused on the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams—including the recent addition of a Product Manager to uphold our commitment to operational excellence in serving CIOs and to further enhance user support. Other hiring initiatives are underway, with a priority on highly sought-after developer roles to expand the platform’s functional coverage.
“So far, we have chosen to grow without rushing things; we want to fully integrate our new employees and ensure that they share our human-centered values of accountability and dedication to serving CIOs; we want to preserve our core commitment to serving our clients, even as we scale up. This also aligns with our responsibility as an employer and economic player: we aim to create stable, long-term jobs says Samuel Revenu, CEO of Abraxio.
Ambitious plans to win over all French CIOs
Abraxio is entering a new phase of its development, and its ambitions are commensurate with the potential of its solution and its market; It aims to become the go-to platform for CIOs to manage their operations and to be adopted by all French IT departments—representing a potential market of 25,000 small and medium-sized businesses, mid-sized companies, and public organizations.
To achieve this, Abraxio can count on the support of the French entrepreneurial ecosystem, in particular French Tech, BPI France, which has recognized the solution’s technological innovation, and Réseau Entreprendre, of which its CEO Samuel Revenu is a prizewinner.
The main projects to be undertaken in the new financial year to achieve these objectives include :
- Acceleration of the product Roadmap and Deployment of new functionalities to expand the solution’s application surface and ensure that it brings ever more services and value to IT and Digital Departments, to the benefit of relations with Professions and Business, and Management.
- Particular attention to customer support and satisfaction, to maintain close ties with our customers: onboarding, solution UX, user community management, etc.

About Samuel Revenu
An engineer by training, Samuel Revenu spent about ten years in consulting—notably at Accenture—and then 12 years as CIO (first at APRIL and later at Axelliance) before co-founding Abraxio in April 2019. These experiences have given him a rich and varied understanding of how businesses operate, from startups to large corporations. Faced with the challenges of technological transformation within organizations, a strong advocate for the strategic role played by IT departments, and passionate about the role of CIO, he sought to create, through Abraxio, an effective and distinctive service to assist his peers in their operational activities and in achieving their goals, and to build a community of professionals around Abraxio who share the same standards and ambitions.
